The marten shocker device produces an ultrasonic sound with a frequency of 22 kHz. The device has 6 high-voltage plates on two cables which are charged up by a capacitor in the device to around 300 Volts. The high-voltage plates are mounted in the engine compartment such that a marten entering the compartment and touching one of the plates will get a painful, but not lethal, electric shock. In the time taken for the capacitor to charge up again.
Extremely low power consumption (< 0.005 A), switches the battery voltage of < 11.5 V automatically off (does not discharge the battery completely if vehicles are being parked for quite some time).
device is fastened by means of self-tapping screws or binders in the engine compartment.

- Cable for terminal 15: If this cable is connected with “positive“, the marten defence disconnects.
- The - marten defence switches on if it is connected with “negative” or does not receive any signal.
- Suitable for vehicles with Can Bus.
